The suite comprises four modules: Pursuit, Quotes, Service and Parts. Pursuit lets you view customer information and activities between agents, technicians and customers, like trouble tickets, service orders and contracts. The Journal feature stores events in chronological order and the Calendar lets you schedule follow-up activities (e.g., making a phone call after a customer purchases an item). You can also scan, and save to customers’ files, paper documents.
Quotes automatically calculates sales quotes that sales reps can give customers. Because Quotes integrates with Microsoft Outlook, agents can immediately e-mail each sales quote to customers. Service lets you produce orders and see which order or trouble ticket agents or technicians are assigned to. You can assign employees to tickets based on skills, location or other criteria.
Parts lets you track sold products and repair work. The module also includes a Smart Order feature that analyzes inventory and recommends items to purchase. To automate billing, TigerPaw Business Suite version 9 integrates with accounting software, including Intuit’s QuickBooks, Computer Associates’ ACCPAC and Great Plains’ Dynamics.
The software suite lets you schedule activities between modules. For example, if a customer accepts a quote from a sales rep after the agent looks it up using Quotes, that quote becomes an order in the Service module. Employees in the accounting department can then receive notice of orders to process.
“Business Suite is most geared towards companies that need to track contacts, jobs, technicians and schedules,” says Dave Foxall, TigerPaw Software’s CEO. “We’re going after people that say ‘I want everything that’s going on with a customer from cradle-to-grave in one place.'” Foxall adds that TigerPaw Business Suite is most popular among telecommunications, software, security, alarm, heating, ventilation and air conditioning companies.
The suite, patterned after Microsoft Office, features a Microsoft Outlook-style interface. Modules start at $2,495.
